About me

My name is Lydia James-Louwerse and I am a student from Sheffield Hallam University about to finish my BA Animation. I’ve specialised in direction and acting, specifically for 2D animation. My other interests include creating art, video games and collecting manga. I am a huge animal lover and I am both Dutch and British and I’m proudly bilingual.

My past projects include:

• A ‘Choose your own adventure’ book (for my Art Foundation course) called “Heads and Three Tales”.  I created props for the characters in the stories along with life-size cardboard cutouts of the personalities. 
• I hand-painted images from a manga on a denim jacket and created multiple cosplays.
• I also enjoy crochet and have made various plushies for friends and family and clothing items for myself.

I love expressing myself with fun makeup and hairstyles and hopefully I can show others that its ok to be yourself! My current motto is:

“It does not matter how crazy you think your idea is, someone will enjoy it so just start creating.”
